The Team Rampage 17u Elite team headed into the June High School Summer League break with a 18-9 record, with a schedule that included the EYBL Oakland Soldiers, Team Arsenal, The Factory (Arizona), Cali Rebels, Team Zona (Arizona) and more. There was a great level of excitement with this 17u team coming into the AAU season, but with early injuries to Cody Taylor and Lucky Hampton, and the departure of three players, it led to Coach Bracy heading into the Memorial Day Classic (Bay Area) with 6 players. After finishing the tournament in the final four and all 6 players gaining heavy recruiting interest, it made it clear that this group may only be a few players away from becoming one of the top independent teams in California.

Bracy and Hodges were able to add a few pieces to a group that was already competitive against the top teams. Below are the additions to the team for the rest of the summer.

Jaden Alexander - St. Pats (Vallejo) 2021 6’3’

Esai Contreas - St. Pats (Vallejo) 2020 5’9’

Ryan Hakl - Davis HS 2020 6’7’

Landon Seaman - Will C. Wood HS 2020 6’7’

Christian Rodriguez - Armijo HS 2021 6’5’

Asaad Muhammed - John Muir HS 2020 6’3’

With these additions it is clear to see that this 17u team will be much longer, taller, and will be more athletic. “These additions with the players that we already have will make us finish the year strong” Director Hodges said. “We are going to Dallas, before finishing up in LA, and it will give us a great chance to standout in front of college coaches”, Hodges added. Team Rampage will be back for practices and games starting in July.
